Overview

Son My 2 is a gas-fired power project using combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology, being developed by AES in Son My Commune, Lam Dong Province. With a planned capacity of 2.2 GW, the project is intended to diversify the power generation mix, add flexible generation capacity and support Vietnam’s long-term energy needs. The project is currently under development, with the required agreements and procedures being advanced ahead of construction.
