Overview
Mong Duong 2 is a power project developed under the Build-Operate-Transfer (“BOT”) model, located in Mong Duong Ward, Quang Ninh City. It is Vietnam’s first BOT coal-fired power plant project and the largest power infrastructure investment with the U.S. capital in Vietnam.
The plant plays an important role as baseload capacity, providing cost-effective, reliable and stable electricity to Vietnam’s national power system. It is operated and maintained by local leadership and employees and has received multiple awards recognizing its safety performance and people development.
