Mong Duong 2 Power Plant

Reliable power for Vietnam 

AES’ first project in Vietnam, Mong Duong 2 is a BOT power plant in Quang Ninh with a net capacity of 1,120 MW. In commercial operation since 2015, it provides reliable electricity to Vietnam’s national power system.

Son My 2 Power Plant

Supporting a more flexible energy system 

Son My 2 is a planned 2.2 GW combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power project being developed by AES to add flexible generation capacity and support Vietnam’s long-term energy needs.

Son My LNG Terminal

Infrastructure for Vietnam’s energy future

The Son My LNG Terminal is an LNG receiving, storage and regasification project being developed through a joint venture between AES and PV GAS. 

The project is expected to support gas-fired power generation and diversify Vietnam’s energy supply.
