Binh Thuan - Today, in cooperation with the Association for Promoting Education, AES Vietnam presented scholarships to 120 students in Son My Commune and Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan Province. The award ceremony was organized with the attendance of representatives from local authorities, schools and the Association for Promoting Education in Ham Tan District.

The scholarships were provided in collaboration with the Association for Promoting Education of Ham Tan District and Son My Commune, aiming to motivate students to advance their studies and help to cover a part of their educational costs.

On behalf of the Association for Promoting Education of Ham Tan District, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Chanh, Chairman, said, “For these meaningful gifts to pupils who come from disadvantaged families in the district, I would like to express our sincere thanks to AES Vietnam.”

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. David Stone, President of AES Vietnam, said, “At AES Vietnam, we are committed to supporting the educational initiatives because we strongly believe that education will empower local communities, contribute to improving living standards and ensure sustainable development. This year, it is our pleasure to work with the Association for Promoting Education of Ham Tan District to deliver this scholarship program. We expect to expand this program in the coming years to increase the number of beneficiaries so that more disadvantaged pupils will receive better support in the future.”

The scholarships are an important part of AES’s CSR program in Vietnam.
